The Barnes Foundation The Barnes Foundation in Merion houses one of the globe’s most innovative and comprehensive exhibits of impressionist and post-impressionist works. The museum sits amidst stunning landscaped grounds. Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts America’s first art academy is still one of its finest; the art museum and school is under 30 minutes away. The Philadelphia Museum of Art One of the world’s top art museums, the Philadelphia houses superb Renaissance, American, Impressionist and Modern collections and hosts premiere traveling exhibits from Europe and around the world. The Wharton Esterick Museum Known as “the Dean of American Craftsmen”, Esterick built this inspiring and innovative free-form wooden studio, which now performs as a museum for his beautiful and functional works. Main Line Symphony Orchestra The members of this all-volunteer orchestra play three subscription concerts a year. Concerts Under the Stars Every Sunday evening from mid-May to September, families gather in nearby King of Prussia to picnic under the stars while listening to live folk and blues; many of the country’s greats perform here. Haverford College Concert Series Several top notch musical performances are held at Haverford College throughout the year; the college hosts classical pianists, string quartets, world musicians and the like from around the globe, as well as local groups like the Haverford-Bryn Mawr College Chorale, Chamber Singers and Orchestra. Philadelphia Orchestra This truly great and world renowned orchestra is under 30 minutes drive from the Main Line communities. Opera in Philadelphia Philadelphia has several excellent opera companies; the Savoy Company is the world’s oldest amateur company devoted to the works of Gilbert and Sullivan. Wayne Ballet and Center for Dance Arts A comprehensive program of ballet, jazz and hip hop dance is offered at this state-of-the-art custom built school; staff is of the highest caliber, with members ranging from those who have danced with Martha Graham to those who have worked with Will Smith. Bryn Mawr Collge Dance Program Each year the college’s dance department presents an excellent dance season, hosting some of the nation’s best dancers, as well as accomplished performers in dance traditions from around the world. Valley Forge Children’s Theatre Children’s classics are performed with panache by this professional theater company; a wide range of theatrical and education programs introduce children and teenagers to live theater. Philadelphia Theater Scene With over 20 professional theater companies and numerous amateur local groups, Philadelphia’s theater scene is lively and diverse. Radnor Historical Society Founded in 1947, the society administers the historic Finley House and the Theodore Boreham Brooks Memorial Wagon House, which contains an inclusive exhibit of wagons, sleighs and carriages from days gone by. Valley Forge National Historic Park Over 600 acres of rolling hills and dogwoods make up the Valley Forge National Historical Park, which stands as a memorial to the War for Independence. The park contains Washington's original stone headquarters, reconstructed log huts like those used by the soldiers, various statues and monuments and an excellent visitors center. 
 Haverford Township Department of Parks and Recreation Haverford has many lovely parks, some dating back to the earliest days of European settlement. Several have ball fields and courts and children’s playgrounds are widespread; there is a skate park as well. The Park Department coordinates a wide range of recreational activities for children. Radnor Township Department of Parks and Recreation Radnor is a green township with lots of public parks and recreational amenities. Merry Place This delightful park is a labor of love for the Haverford community, who have been working together to develop it since 1995. The park has a fishing pier, playground, tree house and great nature area. Skatium Home to the Villanova "Ice Cats" Hockey Team, the Haverford Hawks Ice Hockey Organization, the Eastern Hockey High School League and the Haverford Skating Club, the Skatium hosts figure skating championships and shows and offers classes in ice skating, figure skating and ice hockey for all age groups and skill levels. Lower Merion Parks Department Lower Merion Township offers a wide range of recreational events for children, adults and seniors. Lower Merion Conservancy Little Merion residents are passionate about protecting their remaining open spaces and historical sites; this has lead to the significantly high number of parks in the region. Pilates and More Pilates corrects physical imbalance, lengthens muscles, and enhances flexibility while strengthening your body. The centre also offers massage and a range of wellness workshops. The Yoga Garden Named “Best of the Main Line” seven times over, Narberth’s yoga studio teaches classes to children, teenagers and adults. Chanticleer Gardens This gorgeous park has 35 acres of flowers, trees and decorative plants; two beautiful historical homes house garden themed exhibits. The Willows Just under 50 acres of beautiful parkland surround a pretty lake and superbly restored mansion (which is available for hire). Mill Grove at Audubon Wildlife Sanctuary Nature trails wind throughout the lovely 175-acre Audubon Wildlife Sanctuary which overlooks the Perkiomen Creek, and many of John James Audubon’s works hang on the walls of Mill Grove, his lovingly maintained homestead. 
 Haverford Square Historic buildings have been converted into a pretty mall with fashion stores, good restaurants and a patisserie. Suburban Square Ardmore’s pretty Suburban Square has upscale shopping in stylish stores overlooking a beautifully landscaped piazza and Roman fountain; a weekly Farmer’s Market and various community events throughout the year have made the square a regional meeting place. King of Prussia Mall This upmarket mall is one of the country’s largest shopping malls, with 8 department stores, nearly 400 specialty shops, and 40 eateries and stylish restaurants. Narberth Shopping District Pretty Narberth, in the heart of Little Merion Township, offers a full range of services; antique and toy stores, groceries, cafes, and restaurants nestle the tree lined main street. Downtown Radnor Despite the proximity of the giant King of Prussia Mall (just over 4 miles away), quaint and friendly downtown Radnor businesses are booming.
